Sailboats

The ideal logistics platform  for a multidisciplinary expedition

MAURITIUS

The Mauritius is a 30-meter steel schooner built in 1963 in the Breman shipyards in Zwartsluis, Netherlands. After being obtained in 2015, she carried out her first ad hoc missions in the Mediterranean and near Atlantic Ocean. She is equipped to navigate in high latitudes.

The sailboat carries scientific equipment and specific measuring instruments according to the research programs carried out by the partners of the Fondation Pacifique.

The Mauritius is operated by a crew of four and can accommodate up to eight additional persons, scientists, artists in residence and youth in rehabilitation.
