On 16 May 2019, the Fondation Pacifique was invited by the Haute École de Gestion (HEG) of Geneva to hold a presentation of its activities (and The Ocean Mapping Expedition in particular) within the framework of the Sustainable Development Week organized by the HEG. In addition to Samuel Gardaz, vice-president of the foundation, two of the scientific partners from the current round-the-world expedition took part in a Q & A session at the end of the presentation. These were, respectively, Dr. Daphne Donis of the Aquatic Physics Group of the University of Geneva Faculty of Science, the co-leader of the programme The Winds of Change – which monitors greenhouse gases on the surface of the oceans – and Pascal Hagmann, executive director of the Oceaneye association and head of the Micromegas microplastic mapping programme.
