END OF THE WORLD TOUR FOR THE OCEAN MAPPING EXPEDITION

Fleur de Passion completed her 4 and a half year world tour in the wake of the famous navigator in the presence of a large and colorful crowd, both Spanish and Geneva, Friday, September 6, 2019 late morning in Seville. On the Muelle de las Delicias, at the invitation of the Swiss embassy in Spain, the Mayor of the city, the vice-president of the Andalusian region and many other local figures were among those enjoying the excitement of this very unique moment alongside dozens of supporters, partners and protagonists of The Ocean Mapping Expedition: scientists, cartoonists or teenagers of the Young at Sea socio-educational program. The night before, the exhibition Nuestra Isla de las especias featuring the cultural component of the the expedition had just been inaugurated at the General Archives of India. Until 19 September, the boat was the epicenter of an effervescence made of public visits on board, media request and workshops all dedicated to raising awareness of the general public and school children in particular. After Seville, the boat took part in the naval parade organized by the municipality of Sanlucar de Barrameda, at the mouth of the Guadalquivir, on September 20, before going back to Brittany for several months of well-deserved wintering.
