What a long way! In July 2009, from Marseille, the Fondation Pacifique launched its first expeditions aboard Fleur de Passion. In the Old Port of Marseille, the 33-meter sailboat received its new sail set and was inaugurated in the presence of Albert Falco, former expedition leader of Cousteau’s Calypso vessel. After six and a half years of restoration that began in 2003 on a quay of the autonomous port of the same city, the ketch and flagship of the foundation set sail for a first season of navigation in the Mediterranean and carried out her first both scientific and socio-educational projects, which later led him to the Red Sea (2010), Atlantic, North Sea and Baltic Sea (2011), in the Caribbean (2013-2014), before he sets off in 2015 for a four-year world tour in the footsteps of Magellan. On this anniversary, the Pacific Foundation thanks all those who have accompanied and supported it during these years.
